This Mediterranean Island is a geopolitical hotbed with four forces occupying the island in some way: Greek-Cypriot, Turkish-Cypriot, the United Nations and Britain. There is a lot of complexity to the relations between all the forces - particular Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
I visited the island during March 2017 with Royal Holloway University of London for fieldwork research. As part of it, I made films and took many photos. The films and photos here are part of that incredible trip.
The people of Cyprus are fascinating and have many different views. And politically, the feeling of being in a divided city - Nicosia - is bizarre. Though my photography and films, I have tried to capture the emotions and perceptions I experienced while on the small island.
